Update by kos: Already posted in brownsox's race roundup, but I want to add Alaska Senate candidate Mark Begich's response to Schaffer again:

"While Alaskans can understand why Bob Schaffer would promote our beautiful mountain, I hope he doesn’t expect Alaska to cede North America’s highest peak to the State of Colorado."

It's not only funny, but it's nice to see this kind of solidarity with our Senate candidates. At a time when Republicans are desperately trying to run away from each other, it's good to see our party coming together and having fun for once.

    Bush and McCain keep talking about "victory" in Iraq, and they've pretty much ruined the word for many Americans (or maybe it's just me).  But a "victor" implies a "vanquished," and I'd like to think that the Democratic primary is not a zero-sum game. Regardless of who get's the nomination, the Party needs to unify for the general election in November. Therefore, I'd like to propose changing the text to:

    That show should be required viewing for every voter. Talkshow personality Kevin James very aggressively accused Obama of being an "appeaser" "like Nevile Chamberlain." Chris Matthews cleverly asked James to explain what exactly Chamberlain did that earned him that label.  James tried to evade answering, but Matthews persisted (at east a dozen times) until James wearied of his bluster and admitted that he didn't know.

  pretty soon.  The highest peak in the area is Mt. Audobahn- ~13,200'.  At least I'm pretty sure they are the Colorado Mountains.  No 6000 meter peaks around here.

      Oscarsdad and I had a terrific honeymoon.  We didn't have a lot of money so we did a combination of hotel and camping from Carmel down the Big Sur coast to San Luis Obispo where we stayed at the Madonna Inn.  I've never been so consistently happy for so long!
